THE GREATEST SINS OF A VEGETARIAN..

VEGETARIANISM IS A WONDERFUL THING TO DO FOR IT IS BOTH HEALTHY TO THE BODY AND SOUL. IT REFLECTS THE PERSON ABILITY TO PRACTISE WHAT HE PREACHES. COMPASSION AND LOVE RADIATE FROM THIS DIET.

AFTER BEING A VEGETARIAN FOR OVER A DECADE I HAD ENCOUNTERED MANY INSTANCES WHERE MY FELLOW VEGETARIAN MADE ME SHAMEFUL. IN MANY WAYS IT WILL HELP TO DETER OTHERS FROM SUCH A WONDERFUL DIET AND WAY OF LIFE.

BELOW ARE SOME OF THE SINS THAT VEGETARIAN OFTEN COMMITTED UNKNOWINGLY.

1. DEMAND THAT VEG. FOOD IS SERVED TO THEM AT ALL FUNCTIONS AT THE INCONVENIENCES OF THE HOST.

2. QUESTION FIERCELY THE PREPARATION AND PEOPLE WHO SERVED AND PREPARED THE FOOD. THERE IS OFTEN THE DEMAND THAT THEY MUST BE VEGETARIAN TOO.

3. THINK OR DO THINGS TO MADE PEOPLE THINK THAT THEY ARE MERCIFUL AND GOOD. VEGETARIAN IS A WAY OF LIFE AND THIS WAY OF LIVING DO NOT COME WITH MERIT. IF WE CHOOSE THIS DIET THAN WE SHOULD EAT TO LIVE AND NOT LIFE TO EAT.

4. ALWAYS SUSPECT THAT THE FOOD SERVED IS NOT "CLEAN". BE A VEGETARIAN IN SPIRIT IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN A VEGETARIAN IN THE SO CALLED TRUE VEGETARIAN'S PHYSICAL FORM.

5. FORGOT THAT A REAL VEGETARIAN PRACTICED COMPASSION AND LOVE FOR ALL BESIDES FOLLOWING A DIET DEVOID OF MEAT ONLY. HE WILL ALSO CULTIVATE HIS SPEECH,SPIRIT,BEHAVIOR AND APPEARANCE.

6. FORGOT THAT A NONE VEGETARIAN IS NOT A SINNER BUT JUST ONE THAT IS NOT AWARE OF THE MISGUIDED WAY OF LIFE. MOST ARE IGNORANT NOT SINNERS.

7. FAILURE TO SHOW ALL THAT A VEGETARIAN WAY OF LIFE IS FUN,HAPPY AND EASY TO FOLLOW BESIDES BEING HEALTHY TOO. SO A VEG. MUST HAVE THE MORAL OBLIGATION TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY BODY AND MIND,EASY GOING ,ALWAYS HAPPY AND HELPFUL TO ALL.

MY MENTOR WILL ALWAYS TELL HIS FRIENDS THAT HE HAD EATEN ALREADY WHEN IN FACT HE IS HUNGRY SO AS NOT TO INCONVENIENCE OTHERS. SOMETIMES HE WILL BRING HIS OWN FOOD TO THE FUNCTION.
MORE IMPORTANTLY HE IS ALWAYS HAPPY,HELPFUL AND MINDFUL OF OTHERS.

HE WAS BOTH A VEGETARIAN IN MIND, SOUL AND BODY..........

A HEALTHY PHYSICAL BODY MUST COME WITH A HEALTHY SPIRIT TOO.

WAKE UP AND PUT THIS MIND AND SPIRIT TO WORK BY MAKING IT HEALTHY AND BRIGHT TOO.........

MY BELOVED MOTHER ----DEPARTED BUT FOREVER IN MY MIND.

MOTHER'S DAY IS AROUND THE CORNER AND I CANNOT HELP BUT SHED A TEAR OR TWO WHEN I REMEMBERED THE SACRIFICES AND LOVE SHE SHOWED ON ME.
I KNOW THAT SHE IS IN HEAVEN AND STILL BLESSING ME .
BORN IN CHINA, SHE MIGRATED TO SARAWAK AND HAD TO ENDURE THE SUFFERINGS AND HARDSHIP DURING THE JAPANESE OCCUPATION OF SEA.
I REMEMBERED HER STRONG WILL AND HER WILLINGNESS TO ACQUIRE NEW SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE. SHE LEARN TO READ AND WRITE ON HER OWN.
SHE WILL READ ANY NEWSPAPER AND BOOKS IN TEOCHEW AND IS ALSO A WONDERFUL COOK. SHE EVEN PICKED UP PERANAKAN COOKING FROM HER FRIENDS AND WILL COOKED NICE CURRIES AND COOKIES. SHE IS THRIFTY BUT WILL REWARD ALL WELL WHEN WE ARE GOOD.
MOTHER IS ALWAYS CARING AND HER EASY GOING PERSONALITY WON HER A LOT OF FRIENDS. SHE CARED FOR HER FRIENDS AND IS ALWAYS IN DEMAND. SHE SEWED, COOKED,MANAGED THE HOUSE WORK, SHOPPING ,GARDENING, DROVE US TO AND FROM SCHOOLS, BRING FOR MAKAN AGIN AND LEADED AND GUIDED US TO A PROSPEROUS AND HAPPY LIFE.
SHE PASSED AWAY TEN YEARS AGO AFTER SUFFERING FROM DIABETICS,HEART PROBLEMS ,GANGRENE OF THE LEGS AND FINALLY, HEART FAILURE.

MUM, I OWE EVERYTHING TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
MUM, YOU NURTURED AND EDUCATED US.
MUM, YOU LET US KNOW WHAT FRIENDSHIP IS.

A FIRE HAZARD WITH ILLEGAL AWNING

This photo was taken at a shop house in blk 128 in ang mo kio and it showed the danger of an illegal structure such as this retractable awning at the back of the shop.
Noticed the awning was burn by fire from a cigarette bud.
No one was injured and the owner of the shop is not doing anything to repair it.

Now I know why there is a need for SCDF to be so strict in enforcing such a ruling.

Luckily, SNV is being up graded by the government and now all the shops had solid awning that is also fire proof.

The present of illegal awning at the shops in SNV should also stop as soon as possible.

NELSON MANDELA----------------A MODERN SAINT

Watched the movie INVICTUS recently and was most moved by the compassion and love shown, by newly elected, President Nelson mandela. He tried to unite a nation ravaged by the discriminating whites and the recently freed blacks.
He was able to use the rough game of rugby to unite a nation of divided individuals. Directed by my favorite director, CLINT EASTWOOD, it showed how the wise, peaceful and forgiving Nelson mandela put to use his belief and moved a dejected team "SPRINGBROOKS " to win the world cup and change the mindset of the masses.
HE SAID THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON IS "FORGIVENESS" AS IT WAS ABLE TO WIN WITHOUT FORCE.

THE ORE OF DEVELOPMENT------CHINA IS THE MAIN CONSUMER

Last monday (5/4/10) was the day most older Singaporean chinese and all over the world with chinese people, paid their respect and performed prayers for their dearly departed family members.

Most will visit the tombs and visit crematorium to remember the departed love ones.

As usual, food and drinks will be offered and paper money and package containing the paper offerings were burn for their love ones.

A GREAT DAY TO REMEMBER THE SACRIFICES OF OUR PARENTS AND RELATIVES.
THIS IS A DAY OF GRATITUDE AND AN OCCASION FOR THE FAMILY TO BE TOGETHER TO OFFER THE RESPECT.

A GREAT TRADITION but PLEASE LESS BURNING TO SAVE THE EARTH.

PLAYFUL SIMON WAS VERY HYPERACTIVE LAST TUESDAY

DRAINED AND TIRED HE TOOK A 3 HOURS REST BEFORE HE RESUMED HIS PLAYFUL ACTION. WHAT A LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A great gentleman and an avid photographer with special interest in nature and natural photography.His photos are wonderful and real magic as there is no tricks just nature in action.

Tammie was spayed recently after she developed pseudo pregnancy for a couple of months. She did bravely and recovered from the surgery within a few days and will lead a long and healthy life with minimal problem.

A TRIBUTE TO MY DADDY

This is a photo of my daddy and son taken 18 years ago.
My dad passed away 15 years ago and I am so grateful that I had such a wonderful dad who unlike modern dad is firm and is always encouraging me to do my best.

His is always caring and most of the time, I felt that he cared more for others like relatives and friends than the family. He always told me that there are others less fortunate than we are.
He is never rich in wealth but he brought us up rich in character and filled with a charitable spirit.
He showed us the way by not talking much and often he will let his actions do the talking.

I still remembered him taking me to the coffee stall and treating me to coffee and toasted bread with butter and kaya. Hand in hand we walked along the old shops as he taught me the goodness of life.
He always wanted me to be good and contribute to society regardless of race and status.
He is good at packing any thing and he increased sales at the provision shops by innovative ways of packing the good to entice customers to buy.

He worked everyday and will bring work home. I remembered him having to dry cuttle fish in the sun. It was hard work having to squad for hours in the hot sun and looking out for the rain. Sometimes he will have to lay out the goods in an area the size of a football field.
He will never asked us for help and will rather wait for us to make the first move.
Often, we will end up helping him to finish the work so he can rest.
He will never force me to study but will reward me when I did well. He is always there when I needed him.
GENEROUS, CARING,POLITE AND GENTLE TO ALL AND ALWAYS FORGIVING TO EVEN HIS ENEMY, THAT IS HIS CHARACTER.
He told me that he was butted on the head by a japanese soilder for not bowing to him at a traffic junction. He smuggled milk powder and rice to his village friends and relatives so that the babies could live. The penalty at that time was the firing squad.
Such is the character of my DAD my HERO

AT THIS AGE AND AFTER BECOMING A DAD I used some of the things I learn from my dad to bring up my son.
He is a fine young man now and I am real proud of him.
THANK YOU DADDY FOR THE LESSONS YOU TAUGHT ME IS REAL AND TRUE.

IT is interesting that the PM of Malaysia proposed a new economic plan to prepare Malaysia for the future and also to enable Malaysia to meet the 2020 target of a modern Malaysia.

In theory it is good but in practice it is going to be a different thing.
Many questioned and said that there will be more talk than work.

The greatest problem is the present of these two prominent men and the likes of these people who will not be willing to give up the rights that they have enjoyed over the years at the expanse of the other races and the development of the country.

MALAYTOCRACY will always be top.

THE ONLY HOPE IS THE MALAYS OF MALAYSIA WHO ARE EDUCATED AND RIGHTEOUS.

CONGRATULATION TO OUR MINISTER LIM HWEE HUA

The Singapore Council of Woman's organization inducted our Minister Lim Hwee Hua into the hall of fame for being pioneers in the public service.

She had among other things transformed Serangoon constituency and brought changes to the lives of many who lived and worked in her ward.

The Serangoon North Constituency in particular is very fortunate to have her as our MP and advisor to many of the GROs.

Her intelligence and her soft but firm way in which she conducted her activities is both an asset to all the SNV residents and people of Singapore.

WHO SAYS THAT WOMEN IN SINGAPORE ARE NOT GETTING ANY WHERE?

SHE IS A TYPICAL EXAMPLE OF THE WAY THINGS ARE CHANGING IN SINGAPORE AND ALSO TO THIS WORLD WHERE WOMEN ARE IN CHARGE.

GOD CREATED MAN AND WOMAN EQUAL.
