TOUR OF THE SNV AREA ON THE OPENING NIGHT OF SPRING CARNIVAL 2010.O

ON THE 30/01/10,OUR GOH AND MP, MRS LIM HWEE HUA TOUR THE SNV AREA AFTER SHE OFFICIATED AT THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE SNV SPRING CARNIVAL 2010.

AFTER THE TOUR WE HAD A GOOD DISCUSSION OVER A CUP OF COFFEE AT THE NEWLY OPENED COFFEE CAFE AT BLK 151.

A GENEROUS BUFFET OF LOCAL FOOD AND FRUITS SOLD AT THE SNV AREA WERE ALSO PRESENTED.

OUR GOH WAS ACCOMPANIED BY HER HUSBAND, MR ANDY LIM AND ALL THE GRASSROOT LEADERS AND REP. FROM GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. .

ON THE 22/02/10 NIGHT WE REPRESENTED THE SNVBAC AND SNMA TO PRESENT A 3 KG BIRTHDAY CAKE AND A BASKET OF FLOWERS TO OUR MP AND MINISTER LIM HWEE HUA ON THE OCCASSION OF HER COMING BIRTHDAY ON THE 26/02/10.

IT WAS A DELIGHTFUL MOMENT AND OUR CHAIRMAN, PAT ONG PBM, CAME LATER AS HE WAS BUSY.

CHARITY TREE AFTER 10 DAYS.

This heavily laden blossom tree is the testament of the generosity of singaporean. Each ang pow packet carries a massage of hope,love and prayers to all of Singapore. The name of the donor,wishes and amount pledged was written on the ang pow and the wind will carry the message to heaven.
THE TWO TREES CARRY AT LEAST 500 BRANCHES OF THE CHERRY BLOSSOM. IT BRINGS HOPE TO THE LESS FORTUNATE AND HAPPINESS TO BOTH THE GIVER AND RECEIVER.

GOD BLESS AND MAY BRIGHT CONSCIENCE SHINES IN ALL ASPECT OF OUR DAILY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was taken on the eve of CNY and it took at least 20 minutes to get her to look good. Taken on the stage of red carpet she was gorgeous and very much at ease.
This grand old bitch is at least 15 years and she is looking good and healthy for her age.
Two big meals a day including a big serving of vegetables helps to keep her healthy with a minimal of trouble.
She had a history of bladder stones but the condition was resolved with fresh diet and plenty of fruits and veges.
Still proud and extremely jealous in nature she still commands a lot of respect and fear from the bigger dog in the house.
Her favorite food is dried cod fish and BBQ pork slices.

I READ THIS WONDERFUL BOOK THREE TIMES OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS AND EVERY TIME I READ IT I LEARN MORE THINGS ABOUT RELIGIONS AND THEIR SIMILARITIES . I AM NOT JUST A BELIEVER IN CHRIST BUT I ACKNOWLEDGED AND ACCEPTED THE WISDOM OF ALL RELIGIOUS FAITH ESPECIALLY THOSE OF ASIAN ORIGIN.
FOR ONCE THEIR IS A BOOK THAT I CAN REALLY ACCEPT AS THE TRUTH AND ONE THAT IS PROACTIVE IN GETTING THE INITIATED TO PRACTICE THE WAY SO AS TO GET THE REAL MEANING . IT IS ONLY BY PUTTING THE WORDS INTO ACTION THAT ONE IS ABLE TO FEEL AND TRUELLY UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH.

LEAPING INTO THE NEW YEAR WITH RENEWED PASSION AND ENERGY

THE FEELING IS FANTASTIC AS I STEPPED INTO THE NEW YEAR OF THE TIGER. I SOMEHOW FEEL A SENSE OF POSITIVITY AND RENEWED PASSION TO DO THE BEST AND NOT TO WAIT AROUND AND ALLOW FATE TO DECIDE ON MY LIFE. THE WORLD IS THERE FOR ALL BUT YOU HAVE TO FIND IT AND WORK HARD TO ACHIEVE THE BEST.
OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS I HAD BEEN MORE A FOLLOWER AND NOT AN ACHIEVER AT ALL.

THIS RED LANTERNS BRIGHTENED UP THE CELEBRATION MOOD AT THE VILLAGE.

IMPORTED FROM CHINA AT A COST OF $35/. IT TAKES 2 MEN TO CIRCLE AROUND IT . THIS ARE THE EXACT ONES THAT WERE USED BY THE CHINA OLYMPIC OF 2008. EASY TO SET UP AND IT CAN BE EASILY FOLDED UP TO BE KEPT FOR FUTURE USE.

IT IS A JOY TO WATCH AND ENJOY THE GREATNESS OF THIS COMING OF SPRING.

LAST YEAR ON THE 14/12/09 ,ANNA AND HER SON ADRIAN, ACCOMPANIED MICHELLE TO SINGAPORE WHO WAS ON HER WAY TO AUSTRALIA TO STUDY.

WE HAD A GREAT TIME BUT IT WAS SHORT BUT MEANINGFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SNMA PROUD MOMENTS AT THE LAST NIGHT OF THE SPRING CARNIVAL 2010

On the night of 12/2/10, our MP and Minister Lim Hwee Hua was at the SNV to meet and wish all residents, shoppers and business people of SNV a HAPPY NEW YEAR. The MA was proud and honored to be involved in the event. On that night we were also delighted to be able to present the cheque of $13000 plus to the CCC chairwoman, Mdm DAISIE YIP, being the total collection of the charity tree. This was witnessed by the MP and all committee members of the SNMA and 1000 plus people at the stage show.
The night was hot and humid but the strength and endurance of our MINISTER LIM inspired us and it took us at least 4 hours to walk the whole length of the SNV area including Blk 1147 and 197 and the 2 temples. The response and support from the people of the area was great.

CHARITY BLOSSOM TREE @SNV

On the 30/1/10 the above project was officiated by the GOH, Mrs LIM HWEE HUA at the light up ceremony of the annual Spring Carnival at SNV.
This year's event was made even more meaningful by the addition of the above charity project.
As the organizing chairman I was so glad that we were fully supported and encouraged by our minister and all at the CCC. The feedback from most resident was it had added more meaning to the annual event. This was the first time in my knowledge that a charity event was organized in the area. The beneficiaries from the project were the poor and less fortunate from the area. All proceeds will got to the CCC for their welfare work
The wonderful response to the project and success was a testament that the Singapore spirit of giving is still very much alive even in bad times. A total of $13,000 plus was collected over the 10 days and the heart touching moments at the booth were plenty. A little boy gave 50 cents of his pocket money, a father gave $10/ to his little boy to past to us, many who gave without a need to identify themselves and many more stories. Most donations are small but it is the spirit of giving and not the amount that further inspired me to work harder next year. Our minister LIM had set a target of $20,000 for the next year and I am sure we will meet it. GOOD ON YOU SINGAPOREAN AND IT IS YOU WHO MADE THIS COUNTRY GREAT.
