DIALOGUE ON IMMIGRATION AND INTERGRATION

On the 4/07/10, I attended the above event with many of my fellow grassroots leaders.

It was very well organized and we were able to gain more insight and information on the above topic so we can be better equipped to answer the queries of our fellow residents.

Mrs Lim Hwee Hua was present to answer and present the views of the government.

My input was a feedback on my own personal experiences as a new citizen and my immigration and integration into Spore society.
My observation was that Singaporean are not vocally patriotic and this did give people the impression that we are not nationalistic.

THE BEHAVIOR AND CONVICTION OF SINGAPOREANS TO THE COUNTRY IS THE GREATEST ASSET ON THE INTEGRATION OF NEW MIGRANT.

SOUTH KOREA MOURNS THE LIVES LOST IN THE SINKING OF ONE OF THEIR WARSHIP.

WITH THE SINKING AND THE LOST OF 46 LIVES , THE SOUTH KOREANS ARE NATURALLY SAD AND ANGRY.

AS THE WORLD PONDERS ON WHAT TO DO, WHAT ACTIONS TO TAKE AND WHO TO BLAME , THE BIG BROTHERS OF THE WORLD PONDERS ON HOW TO GAIN MORE POWER AND POLITICAL ADVANTAGES.

I AM SAD TOO FOR I PRAYED FOR THE LIVES LOST AND I HOPE NOTHING OF THIS KIND SHOULD EVER HAPPEN AGAIN..

NO LIFE IS MORE PRECIOUS THEN ANOTHER REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU ARE IN THIS WORLD!

APPLE OR ORANGE????

My little girl, Ester had plenty to eat and here she had to decide whether she should eat the apple or the orange

The irony is that many in the world do not have this choice.

Most are hoping for any thing that can fill up the stomach.

AIN'T WE THE LUCKY ONES IN THIS WORLD?????


GRATITUDE, CONTENTION AND HAPPINESS!!

One of the tallest longevity noodle offerings I had seen.

Seen this huge 7 feet plus offering made of longevity noodles
at Chang wang Cake Shop in Serangoon north Village.

It took the boss of the shop at least half a day to set up and wrapped the offerings so it can be hygienic and beautiful to look and eat later.

Alot of skills and patience too......

NATIONAL DAY 2010 DECORATION AT THE HOLY HOUSE

On the 4/07/10, after a big clean up by all brothers and sisters at the Holy House,I decorated the place with our national colors and flags for this year's national day celebration.

COUNT ON ALL IN SINGAPORE TO MAKE THIS NATION ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD.

From the world's third most live able city to the world's best place to live.

LUNAR ECLIPSE IN SINGAPORE

On the 26/06/10, Spore experience the lunar eclipse again.
A wonderful sight await all who had the chance to see the sky in our built up environment.

GRASSROOS CONVENTION AND APPRECIATION DINNER

On the 3/07/10, I attended the above event at the Suntec convention center and we had a great time with all present. Present were PM Lee and senior minister Goh . Our advisor and MP, Mrs Lim were also present to share in the celebration of PA 50th year .The theme of the event was one community one Singapore.
Besides the sharing experience exercise we were treated to a dinner cum show with music from the jazz band and a musical. It ended at 10pm and we were transported via bus arranged by the CC. Many thanks to Mr Yong and team at the Serangoon for all the hard work to ensure we had a wonderful time.
