THE SERANGOON NORTH VILLAGE NEEDS A NEW FRESH IMAGE

Newly up graded the SNV is facing stiff competition from the new malls at serangoon central and serangoon garden.

The heartland needs a new image and a new vision if it is to compete with the new shopping centres and the work is getting tougher.

The mix of shops and facilities need to be improved and a new niche carved in order to attract customers back to the village.

Maybe the pet trade is a poor idea to attract people to the village.
The mix of pets are limited and there is too many restriction on the sales and display of pets.
The NTUC is too small and needs to have better and wider collection of goods.
The market is good and still attract lots of older people to it.
The saloons are good and there is a need to help them be more prominent in attracting customers.

The SNMA needs to be more proactive and knows what the retailers and customers want.

The life of a butterfly is short but meaningful.
Born in a capsule of egg and turn up to be a caterpillar...ugly and with a furious appetite it will eat its way out to form a cocoon.
Here it will be a butterfly..short life for all to enjoy.
It will find a mate and die shortly.

Human are different or as we think we are.
In short and in Mega view it is the same.

We should live life to the fullest and colorful...the length is not important but the quality.

SERANGOON SWING 2011

The end of the year party is on the 31/12/10 and will last till the early hours of the 1/1/11..............
The soft launch of the SS 2011 was on the 31/10/10.

Planning of this party came from the Serangoon CCC and all the GRLs .
Starting in the early part of the year it is now approaching the final part of the preparation.
Monthly meetings and later weekly meetings were held and many sacrificed their time ,effort and $$ to ensure that the party is a successes.
I am in the Fund raising committee and also in the Senior group performing old songs for the many residents of the estate.
The team ,under Mr Dick Yip have been working hard to practice weekly,our songs and guitar so we can get the music right.


The cost is great but the result will be greater as it will enable 30,000 people and more to come together to enjoy this wonderful welcome to the new year 2011.
To the critic who said that it is a waste of money ....No public will be touched and all $$$ will be from donations and businesses.
No public funds will be used.

Do enjoy the show and do not forget the hard work by the Serangoon CCC and GRLs..

music is the soul of living

I wonder what will the world be like if there is no Music.
It is the sound of the spirit of humanity.
It lifts up the human spirit and is the a true reflection of the feeling of the creator and composer.
I played the harmonica,guitar and sing.
Lately I had been inspired to write songs and it really helps to just listen to your own composition.
A wonderful reflection of the deep feelings of this humble being.
Music is wonderful and life is even more wonderful and colorful because there is music.

Just taken this photo from the TV. Saw the wonder of nature and the possible destruction of this creation nature in the next few years.

Love nature but we must each do more to prevent this destruction before it is too late.

Let us start at home instead of asking others to do it.

Love your environment is akin to loving oneself and also the universe as a whole.

SAW THIS GOLDEN YELLOW LEAF ON THE FLOOR AND WAS AMAZED AT THE BEAUTY OF IT.

IT IS A DEAD LEAF BUT IT CAN STILL EXUDE IT BEAUTIFUL COLOR ,SHAPE AND REFLECT THE LIGHTS. IN A FEW HOURS MORE IT WILL BE BROWN AND FINALLY GONE BUT IT STILL MANAGE TO CATCH MY ATTENTION.

IN LIFE AS A HUMAN, WE SEE THE BEAUTY OF DEATH TOO. AMONG THE SAINTS AND BUDDHAS AND JESUS, MANY WERE ABLE TO TOUCHED THE HEARTS OF MILLIONS AFTER THEY ARE GONE.

THE BEAUTY OF THEIR STORIES CARRIES ON AND TILL TODAY ,WE STILL REMEMBERED THEM.

HIROSHIMA ----- WHAT ABOUT THE MILLIONS WHO DIED IN THE HANDS OF THE AGGRESSOR!!!

WHEAT, SUGAR CANE, HERBS, COFFEES AND OTHER FOOD STAPLES ARE IN DEMAND AND THE COST IS INCREASING SO FAST.
HUMAN ARE GETTING MORE SICK MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY.
SEA LEVELS ARE RISING AND THE WORLD'S WEATHER ARE GETTING MORE VIOLENT!
THE LIST GOES ON AND ON!!!!!!!!!!

I REMEMBERED GOING TO ONE A FEW YEARS AGO AND WAS MOVED TO TEARS WHEN THE NATIONAL ANTHEM WAS SUNG......THE FEELING OF BELONGING TO A GREAT NATION AND THAT OF A WONDERFUL GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO BUILT UP THIS NATION FROM NOTHING WAS TOO GOOD FOR ME.
